1958 Colorado passenger car license plate from Summit County. REFLECTORIZED. Original condition. Only this one small county had this type of reflectorization as a trial. At the time less than 1000 people in the county, which had been dropping for years as the mines petered out. Best guess is that 999 were manufactured, and there were unsold ones at the court house in BRECKENRIDGE that at some point fell into the hands of pickers. Most got a bit of damage from careless storage.  After all, who would have thought old license plates would ever be sought after. And who would have thought the population would surpass 40,000 and that the average price of a local home would surpass one million dollars!
From a long-time estate, and more than 60 years old. Most embossed plates have a factory warp, and this is normal. Nothing to get "bent" out of shape over.
Plate could show evidence of usage, wear, and age. This an embossed plate that has a normal factory warp.
